Gifts for the beauty lover....

So today's post is one of the first for my christmas content. I am a HUGE lover of the festive season and there's nothing I love more than receiving beauty gifts. With most of my blog being about beauty it shouldn't come as a surprise that my first christmas gift guide is of course beauty related! From skincare to makeup I've put together some gorgeous gifts you can buy your mum, your daughter, your sister, your best friend and even yourself if you wish! Hope your excited for the holiday season as much as I am...xo

Too Faced Sugar Cookie Palette

I've featured this palette on my Instagram recently and OMG am I in love with it. I pick up some of Too Faced's holiday collection every year and they didn't fail to amaze me this year. This palette has 8 eyeshadow shades and its the most cutest palette I've seen from Too Faced. Too Faced  got their inspiration for this palette from gingerbread and sugar cookie deserts, how awesome is that! Sugar Cookie is a limited edition palette and has a cool toned colour scheme. If you want to see swatches of sugar cookie check out my Instagram HERE! This would be lovely for someone who is a collector of makeup, loves too faced as a brand or is just starting out in makeup! Of course the palette has a christmas theme thats what I love the most about it! You can purchase this palette from the following retailers:

Zoella Foaming Body Scrub

Zoe has some of the most nicest christmas collections out for her beauty and lifestyle ranges! I love how unique and creative her ideas are and I always look forward to her christmas collections. This year her theme for her beauty range was all about space, something so different for christmas right. However the scent this year is different to some of her other ranges I feel it's much more "grown up". The "Cosmos" range is absolutely gorgeous with vanilla and peppermint and has a variety of gifts you purchase for family and friends..

The Foaming Body Scrub is one product I've loved so far. This comes in her "Wish Upon A Spa" gift box. I adore Zoe's body scrub products as I have them on the side of my bath, perfect for exfoliating. If you want to gift someone who loves to have a good old pamper the gift set is amazing!

You can purchase the 'Wish Upon A Spa" Gift set from Superdrug! It's currently on offer for black friday so get it whilst you can...

Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red*

This wouldn't be a beauty gift guide without me adding some Charlotte Tilbury to it. The festive season is the perfect time to wear a red lip, everyone loves a holiday red right! I was kindly gifted this matte revolution lipstick from the Charlotte Tilbury team and I am obsessed! Some of my favourite lipsticks in my collection are from Charlotte Tilbury, the matte formula is amazing, so so creamy and comfortable to wear too! This shade would look perfect with gold and glittery eyes for christmas. Ideal for the makeup lover in your life. You can purchase Red Carpet Red from the following retailers:

Pixi By Petra Fairy Lights*

I feel Pixi have been the brand to watch this year, they have officially outdone themselves in my opinion! This year I started receiving parcels from Pixi Beauty's PR team and I've never been so thankful and grateful for all the love and support you show on my socials! Without you I wouldn't receive parcels like I do. One parcel that did excite me was Pixi's Fairy Lights. There a liquid glimmer eyeshadow with a glitter reflex. OMG these are so beautiful in the tube and on the eye lids. If your looking for a gift for someone that loves to shine or basically loves a little glitter over christmas time these are perfect! There so hydrating on the eyes too. Pixi have 5 shades in the fairy lights range and you can purchase Pixi from their website HERE

Take a look at the post I wrote on Pixi's Fairy Lights here, there's swatches too loves!

Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette

This has to be one of the most gorgeous and talked about palettes leading up to the festive season. Too Faced have some of my favourite shadows and I just love how inventive they are! The Gingerbread Spice palette is absolutely beautiful and the shadows don't disappoint. If there's someone you want to gift who is obsessed with eyeshadow palette's this will be the perfect gift! It also smells like gingerbread too and I love how they have added the most cutest gingerbread man on the packaging too!

If your lucky enough to grab this palette well done! However it's currently out of stock which is a shame. You may still be able to get it off the Too Faced website itself or keep checking these retailers to see if they restock:

John Lewis, Selfridges, Cult Beauty and Debenhams

Millie Mckintosh Luxe Beauty and Sheer Glow

What I love about christmas is there are collections released you don't see throughout the year. You can pick them up as gifts or stocking fillers. One collection I love to see is the beauty range from Millie Mckintosh. Her products are sold in Boots in store and online. I love this years rose gold and burgundy design, the products look so elegantly beautiful! This year's scent is Millie's signature scent jasmine and bergamot :)

The Luxe Beauty product is a body butter and the Sheer Glow is a body polish. These products come in Millie's Beauty Wind Down collection which is the most expensive in her range this year. I wouldn't say it's incredibly expensive either as it's in the 3 for 2 offer as well.

Take a look at Millie's range on Boots here

Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette

Now it goes without a fail that Anastasia always releases a palette for christmas! I wasn't sure about this palette at first but once I swatched it I was blown away. This palette is absolutely gorgeous, the packaging is insane and the colours are super sparkly and pretty too! I just love how the design resembles christmas and all things glitter! I'm a huge fan of sparkly things over the festive season so grabbing this was a must! Of course this isn't an essential if you or the person your gifting is not makeup obsessed but it's needed if you or them love ABH shadows! Definitely one to add to your palette collection. I just love the neutral tones and of course the shimmer shades!

The Sultry Palette is of course from ABH's holiday collection for 2018 and is available on the following retailers:

Huda Beauty New Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

Of course I had to save the star of the show until last right! I absolutely love Huda Beauty as a brand, her work ethic is incredible and her eyeshadow palette's are amazing! This palette has to be another one of those highly anticipated palette's of the year! Huda gave us all a sneak peek to a new palette and this was her reveal. This palette has 18 shades, from mattes, metallics and glitters this is THE palette your going to want this christmas!

I love the colours in this palette, it's a little on the pricey side but definitely worth it if you wish to surprise the beauty lover in your life! Huda's palettes are so luxurious and this is a brand I would definitely love to receive something from in my stocking! You can't go wrong with her products, definitely check out the new nudes palette from the following retailers:

Hope this will give you some ideas for gifting this year, bet you have a wishlist for yourself now!!

A Magical And Cosy Night In

I'm a huge fan of cosy nights in rather than nights out! There's just something about being all snug in cosy pjs, blankets, surrounded by candles and of course some magical treats. I've put together some magical treats perfect for the release of the new Fantastic Beasts movie this weekend!....

Lush Twilight

The Twilight bath bomb from Lush has to be one of my favourites at this time of year. How gorgeous does the bath bomb look, it really looks magical with the stars and moons design. Everyone and anyone loves Twilight, it's lavender and tonka infused and perfect for a nice soak in the bath especially before bedtime..

Lush Mask Of Magnaminty

When I plan a night in I always have to have a face mask to hand. One I've been loving again is Mask of Magnaminty. It is fab at exfoliating your skin and keeping those horrible blemishes and spots at bay. It has peppermint inside that will brighten your skin and honey for some extra nourishment! Mask Of Magnaminty is perfect for a pamper at this time of year..

Lush Sleepy

I've talked about this product so many times on my blog and socials! You can tell I love it right. Lush Sleepy is "the" body lotion to have especially for cosy nights in. Lush Sleepy is always a favourite over the autumn and winter season. I love applying this after a bubble bath. The lavender, tonka and cocoa butter smell so good and just makes you want to pop on some fleecy pjs and grab a hot chocolate...

Harry Potter 9 and 3/4 Snuggle PJ's

The main focus of cosy nights in are of course cosy nightwear right! I love my Pj's and if I could would live in them 24/7 haha! I picked up these fleecy Harry potter Pj's from primark recently and OMG they are so soft! I love how it has Platform 9 and 3/4 on the front too, perfect for watching the very first HP movie again...

Zoella Hot Chocolate Candle

One think I never forget to do on a cosy night in is of course light some candles. One candle I've been loving this season is the NEW Zoella Hot chocolate candle! OMG this candle smells amazing, Zoe has really done well with this scent. I can't believe how much it smells like actual chocolate, it's crazy! Zoe's designs are always so creative and the packaging doesn't come as no surprise again this year!

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

I absolutely love this movie, Queenie is one of my favourite characters! I love how this is set before the Harry Potter movies. We watched this movie again recently so we're prepared for the release of Fantastic Beasts And The Crimes Of Grindlewald! It's out TODAY and I'm super excited to see the new one!  We're going to see this weekend too. It's going to be interesting to see a young Albus Dumbledore and of course Newt and Niffler too!...

Do you have any magical and cosy night in essentials?

Urban Decay Naked Cherry Collection

Urban Decay was the first high end makeup brand I made a purchase from.  Urban Decay palettes have always been some of my favourites from the iconic Naked to the recent Naked Heat. I noticed that this year the trend has been mauve tones, pinks and berries. With a lot of my purchases I always take a look on youtube to see what some beauty influencers think. At first I wasn't sure on this palette as there are so many out at the moment with similar colour scheme's.  Even though I probably have similar eyeshadows in my collection I wanted to pick some of the products to review...

In the Urban Decay Naked Cherry collection there are 8 products, an eyeshadow palette, a travel size setting spray, a face palette, 2 eyeliners and 3 vice lipsticks. What drawn me to this collection actually was the setting spray! I had never tried any of their setting sprays and I believe the one in this collection has a cherry scent. The other product I really wanted to try out was the Vice lipstick in the shade Cherry. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. I absolutely adore really warm, plumish burgundy lipsticks especially during the colder months! I wasn't so keen on the palette at first, I don't know why but eventually I decided to pick it up....

The Naked Cherry Palette has 12 shades just like all the other Naked palettes from Urban Decay. The palette has a mix of cream shadows to berry shadows, perfect for the autumn season. When you take a look at the shadows you can see the palette has some mattes and some stunning metallics in there. I am a huge fan of metallic shadows and so the swatches of these is what makes the palette for me. I'm not at all fussed about matte shadows, as long as you have a decent base for your look that's all you need right! The palette retails for £42, comes with a mirror and a dual ended brush. Most of their palettes in the naked range come with brushes and I actually kinda like that. Some of the brushes I use with my everyday makeup, definitely worth it in my opinion..

What I adore about this palette is the packaging! How amazing is this design, of course they had to add cherries to the outer case and the palette itself. Another thing I loved about the packaging was how they designed each cherry on the outside to match the colour of the eyeshadow, how awesome is that!

What I did find with the shadows was that the mattes did have some fall out with them as does any shadow that's incredibly pigmented. I would have liked to have seen some more darker mattes maybe to match the darker metallics. With the lighter mattes it just looks like more of a mauve/cool toned palette than a cherry palette. As for the metallics they win hands down, give me a palette with just metallics in and Im a happy gal!

When I swatched these for the first time I wasn't that impressed to be honest even with the metallics. I decided to use the setting spray with the shadows as it does say online that you can use them wet too. I much prefer the metallics with the setting spray(which smells absolutely amazing by the way). I also packed the colour on rather than blending just to see it's colour more. The metallics in this palette are absolutely gorgeous they just need that little bit of extra work to create a look with...

From T-B the shades are Hot Spot, Caution, Bang Bang, Feelz, Juicy and Turn On

You can see just from the first six shadows in the palette how light these are. I was expecting them to be much darker. I suppose you can see why they added lighter colours just so that your look has a base really. You see lots of shadows like this in many palettes. If I had to choose one that I loved working with from this row it would be the shade Bang Bang. Of course I'm going to choose that one has it has a bit of sparkle to it and perfect as a lid topper...

From T-B the shades are Ambitious, Bing, Devilish, Young Love, Drunk Dial and Privacy. Bottom shade is the Vice Cherry Lipstick!

Now this is what you call "Naked Cherry". I absolutely adore the second six shades in this palette. Ambitious is probably my favourite shade in the palette as it works so well without a setting spray. The tones, pigment and just this row alone would make the perfect autumnal palette in my opinion. Drunk Dial is the perfect matte and all you need to create a look with these colours..

The Urban Decay Naked Cherry setting spray is just the cutest! It's my first setting spray from Urban Decay and why I haven't tried them sooner I'll never know. It kinda has a subtle scent to it and the cherry is definitely there. What got me was why it was a mini one and not full size, anybody else think that too? I'm not complaining as such because the spray retails at £10 so its perfect for travel...

What didn't excite me in this collection was the face palette. I took at look at it online and I wasn't overly impressed. The palette contains a highlighter, a blush and a face topper. Don't get me wrong I love highlighters but palette's that come with blushes that I'm never going to sue are absolutely pointless to me. Unless it's a blush I can use for my skin tone. The blush in this palette is more pink toned and that's just not me at all!

The product that won hands down in this collection has to be the Vice Cherry lipstick. I absolutely love the vice formula and the shade "Cherry" was my definitely my cup of tea. I mean how gorgeous is this lipstick shade though, look above! The vice lipsticks in this collection retail for £16.50 which to me these days is pretty reasonable, well for high end anyway! I didn't like the look of the other two lipsticks, I'm not a huge fan of lipsticks with a sparkle to them. Much prefer a matte lipstick with a gloss...

One influencer I watch so much of on you tube is That Girl Shae XO. I adore her bubbly personality, how real she is and her makeup skills are second to none! Go subbscribe to her channel, tell her I sent you if you do! Shae did one of the most gorgeous makeup looks using this palette and I wanted to include her video for all of you to take a look at, enjoy!

Video credit to Shae!

What I really want to try out is the two eyeliners that came in this collection. I adore Urban Decays 24/7 liner formula, it has to be one the best formulas out there for eyeliner! Have you picked up anything from this collection?

Kylie X Jordyn Collection

It's been a while since I shared a Kylie Cosmetics Collection on my blog! So thought that I would talk about one of her latest releases, it's long overdue! Kylie collaborated with her best friend Jordyn Woods on this stunning collection :) Take a look at my thoughts below...

Photo credit to Kylie Jenner/ Kylie cosmetics

The First Impression

When I first saw this collection on Kylie's Instagram stories I wanted to see more! We all knew she was eventually going to collaborate with Jordyn. If your unsure who Jordyn is here's her Instagram Profile below for you to take a look :)

I have watched Kylie on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and of course the Life Of Kylie, Jordyn features in those a lot! I absolutely fell in love with the packaging first and thought it was so different yet beautiful at the same time. A lot of people said the design reminds them of the Bratz dolls and I believe Kylie had her and Jordyn created very similar to them. I think the design is amazing and it's something I've never seen from a cosmetics brand before. I knew Kylie was going to create an eyeshadow palette because she does every time, I was very much excited about this collection before it even came out! The packaging is just goals isn't it! I love how feminine and girly it is, I'm all for packaging like that! The design also screams autumn to me so this is why I decided to write about this collection a little bit later. The browns, rose golds, whites and little rose gold hearts are adorable. You can definitely see how hard they have worked on the design but then again Kylie always nails her packaging!

The Collection

In the Kylie X Jordyn Collection there is an eyeshadow palette, two lip glosses, one lipstick and a highlighter palette. Of course I knew I wanted to get the eyeshadow palette but I wanted to pick up the lipstick and highlighter palette too! I'm not a huge fan of glosses in general but it was cheaper for me to pick up the bundle than it was to get them all individually. I had tried some of Kylie's previous glosses but wasn't a huge fan of them but surprisingly these new glosses are actually better! They must have changed the formula or something but Kylie definitely stick with it as it's much more comfortable on the lips (realises I'm doing a mini review haha)

The Jordyn Palette

The eyeshadow in this collection is called the Jordyn Palette after Jordyn of course :) It is a 12 pan palette retailing for $45 USD. At the moment it's currently sold out but keep checking the site to see if it restocks! I absolutely love the colour scheme of this palette, it has neutrals and brights with some metallics. I feel like half of this palette was chosen by Kylie and half by Jordyn perhaps! I am a HUGE fan of Kylie's palette's, if you see my Instagram(Leighanne Sheila) you'll see a lot of Kylie's palettes on there...

I have also included the swatches I did on this palette for you to take a look below. All swatches are done with one finger swatches, no setting sprays are used. I generally prefer to do arm swatches so you can see the colour first off before it applies to the eyes. I know a lot of others prefer to do eye swatches too but I'm comfortable with arm swatches as I love to show you guys what the eyeshadow looks like on my skin tone..

From top to bottom the shades are Wife Life, Loyal, True Love, Peru, Soul Mate and My Heart

I was absolutely surprised with how well these shadows swatched! Those warm tones are just gorgeous, definitely my type of colour scheme :) I found Soul Mate to be quite patchy with just one swatch but if I was to build that up I think I could make it work. How stunning is the shade My Heart!! A lot of you guys on Instagram said you loved this shade and I can definitely see why...

From top the bottom the shades are Don't Ever Leave Me, Sister, Ride Or Die, Marry Me, Wild Love and Love You B*tch

I love this row too, the first five shadows swatched so nicely!! Look at those first three shades, ow pigmented are those! I wasn't so keen on how Love You B*tch swatched, you can see it's a little patchy there! I haven't used that shade on my eyes yet but I have a look in mind for it...

On Kylie's website they describe the shades as....

Wife Life (matte pastel peach)
Don't Ever Leave Me (metallic vibrant rose gold)
Loyal (metallic bronzey gold)
Sister (matte warm brown)
True Love (satin terracotta with gold flecks)
Ride Or Die (metallic copper)
Peru (matte soft yellow-orange)
Marry Me (metallic warm silver)
Soul Mate (matte dusty lavender)
Wild Love (metallic olive with violet flip)
My Heart (matte vivid purple)
Love You B*tch (matte deep plum)

The Highlighter Palette

On Kylie's website the highlighter quad is described as silky smooth and pigmented in one stroke. The quad has four highlighters No New Friends, Inseparable, Best Life and Together Forever! No New Friends is described as a frosty pearl, Inseparable is described as a pinky peach, Best Life is described as a warm champagne and Together Forever is described as a icy lavender!

The highlighter palette retails for $40 so thats $10 a highlighter which is pretty good in my opinion :) I love Kylie's highlighters as they really are pigmented, they look so gorgeous on the skin. When I first saw this palette on Kylie's stories it looked bigger than it actually is. I was surprised to see how small it was compared to The Wet Set quads, those are so much bigger! However the design on the packaging for the highlighter quad is so beautiful. It shows Kylie and Jordyn on the outside packaging and then Kylie (heart) Jordyn on the actual sleeve of the palette. I love how the outside packaging is white with those rose gold hearts and then the actual palette has brown tones to it, it's so just too gorgeous!

The Highlighter Palette Swatches

From top the bottom shades are No New Friends, Inseparable, Best Life and Together Forever

The Kylie X Jordyn Lip Products

How cute is the packaging for the two glosses and lipstick! :) I didn't swatch any of these products and only realised I hadn't when I was writing this post! If you want to see swatches you can click on Kylie's website to see them! I was so excited about the lipstick that I took it out of the box straight away just to get the photo below! I am in love with the lipstick shade though, it's called Woods after Jordyn obviously. Woods is described as a Matte Warm Deepened Rose! On application it applies just like the rest of Kylie's lipsticks. Her I adore how the packaging for the lip products has brown tones and the little rose gold hearts again too! Kylie's lipstick formula is one of my favourites!
The two glosses in this collection are called Partner In Crime and 23! Partner In Crime is described as a Pinky nude and 23 is described as a Sheer Bright Gold Glitter

What I did notice with the glosses is the formula and the applicator seem to have changed. Like I said earlier in the post I much prefer this formula, whatever they have done I'd say this an improvement! On Kylie's website it says her newer glosses are high shine glosses! This is her new formula I believe which are meant to be ultra glossy with shea butter to add radiance and shine! I also love the applicator has changed from the tiny brush to a proper doe-foot applicator. It kinda reminds me of the Tarte Shape Tape applicator. It's actually more comfortable to put the gloss on too...

The Collection On You Tube

With a lot of my collection posts I like to include videos of the collection either from the brand or from other influencers! I feel that some collection videos will finish off this post quite nicely! I have included some behind the scenes and influencer videos for you to take a look at!

First 2 videos are from Kylie Jenner's Youtube Channel

One of my favourite influencers Nicol Concilio talking about the Kylie X Jordyn Collection

And that brings us to the end of this collection post, god that was a long one! I love to do these types of posts though and hope you stayed 'til the end! ;) I absolutely love Kylie Cosmetics and can't wait to see what her holiday collection looks like!

Have you ever tried Kylie Cosmetics?

A November To Do List

Hello November!! Yes I know we're a week into the month already but life has been just crazy!! I literally feel like I have spent everyday in work and if you follow me on Instagram you will see that most of my captions are work related! November is a bit of hit and miss for me as it's the month I  love but a month I always hate too...long story! I've decided to start this month's blog posts off with some things I want to do throughout November...

Bonfire Night

Bonfire Night is an event we always try to attend no matter what, it's that time after halloween but between christmas that sorta sets the mood for the festive season, do you get what I mean? Bonfire night might well and truly be over however it's the night we lost my Grandad four years ago so we always say the fireworks are for him!...

Switch Up My Wardrobe

I absolutely love it when autumn and winter come around cos' I love to be all cosy in knitwear, knee high boots and huggable coats! If I could dress with twenty layers on all year round I would. There's just something about feeling comfortable and cosy that makes me feel happy, it's the simple things! I also adore coats at this time of the year too and two I have picked up this season include the Lipsy Premium Bow Detail Parka and the River Island Cream Faux Fur Belted Padded Coat! I just love cream coats with faux fur but also those that have a feminine look too..

Blogmas and Christmas Content

If you seen my christmas content from last year you will have known that I completed blogmas for the first time! If you don't know what it is it's when you have a post on your blog everyday in December..all festive related! I absolutely loved doing it and think I missed one post in the whole month, it was so hard fitting it around my full time work but somehow I managed it. I'm also thinking to myself do I have a go of it again this year or just pop content on my blog when I want to?? If you want to see blogmas here on the blog let me know in the comments. I've been planning some christmas content too(for Instagram too!) and can't wait to share it with you...

Planning some more of our London Trip

We go to London next month and I'm so excited!! Even though we've been more than a few times now it's kind of become tradition to visit our capital every year. Christmas time in London is so magical and I absolutely adore the christmas lights. I pretty much create a itinerary before we go as I like to know what we're doing each day. On thing I am excited about is going to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour for Hogwarts In The Snow! I've never been before and can't wait to see The Great Hall!!...

Reading More....

Even though I blog mainly about beauty I also have another love which is reading! I absolutely loved reading growing up and used to own all the Enid Blyton and the Roald Dahl books! Bit of a book freak if you ask me. Lately I've been interested in more YA, Supernatural, Horror, Gothic and Fantasy books. I just love that genre and feel like stories have much more of a mystery to them. There also addictive too...once I read one I need a collection. I've been wanting to pick up the Cassandra Clare Mortal Instruments novel set as I love the Shadow Hunters on netflix and wanted to see how the series compares to the books...

Celebrating Our Anniversary

We can't be the only ones who celebrate the day we started dating right! I feel like it's the IN THING right now! You don't technically have to be engaged or married to celebrate the day you both coupled up lol! We have always celebrated every year since getting together and it just reminds us of the time we met and everything we have experienced together! I know soppy right but but it's kinda an excuse to buy gifts and go out food and wine haha! Roll on the 16th lol to mark another year off the calendar..

I could go on with more things I want to do this month but I will be here forever! Are there any things you have planned for November, what are you hoping to do?

Halloween Makeup Tutorials For 2018

Your probably thinking why I don't do makeup looks on my blog or Instagram! To be honest I don't think I'm talented enough to create so many different looks. I like to keep my makeup natural but pretty if that makes sense. Yes I am an eyeshadow palette junkie because there my favourite item in makeup to collect! Over the last week or so I have seen quite a few halloween makeup tutorials floating about on youtube and I wanted to share some of these for you to take a look at, you may also find someone new to subscribe too as well!

Victoria Lyn

One person I love to watch on youtube whether that's makeup tutorials, halloween tutorials, collection reviews is Victoria Lyn. I have been subscribed to her for the longest time and I absolutely adore her content. She puts so much effort into all her videos, based in Florida Victoria is definitely one to watch! Victoria started putting up halloween tutorials about 3 weeks ago now and I just bloody love the looks she has created. From Cruella De Vil to Poison Ivy this girl is for sure the most talented one I've seen on youtube...

Courtney Little Makeup

I was browsing around youtube trying to find a halloween tutorial that was inspired by the latest IT movie, the remake one and I found this channel. I subscribed immediately as her content is right up my street! Her halloween creations are absolutely amazing and I am totally living for her IT makeup look, the intro and the tutorial are so good. Definitely check out her channel if you love watching halloween tutorials or your looking for some inspiration yourself...

Christien Dominique

Of course halloween makeup looks don't have to be full on recreations of movie or tv characters you can still look beautiful but with some halloween cuteness to it. I have followed Christien for the most longest time and I am in love with all of her content and not forgetting her brand! Christien is the most nicest and genuine youtubers out there and I will continue to support her cos let's be real, how amazing is she! She created this gorgeous tutorial that se says anyone can wear so take a look if your looking for something a bit more simple...

Roxette Arisa

Another one of my favourite gals on youtube is Roxette Arisa. She is extremely talented and her pr box hauls are amazing to watch too. I just can't believe how down to earth she is and I have been following her for a long time too. I recently discovered this video on her channel and it's absolutely amazing, she has created a puppet doll halloween look and it's actually spot on! The look she has created looks very parisian but with a halloween twist, love it!

Maryam Maquillage

One of the most stunning and talented people on youtube, Maryam Maquillage. I absolutely love her channel. One video I remember seeing last year was her Vampire halloween tutorial as it was the just the one I was attracted to the most!  The gothic themed music in the beginning is amazing and fits with the tutorial so well. It was also her first look that she did for halloween 2017! She has also done a 3 makeup look video this year too so check out her channel!

Alexzandyy

Growing up I always wanted to be a witch for halloween, they have to be my favourite costume to wear!. I recently discovered Alex's channel when I was looking for Witch halloween makeup looks and I cam across this one. It's so witchy, spooky and perfect for the halloween season. I am in love with this, it's totally my vibe! So different to any other witch halloween tutorials I've seen...

I think I'm going to leave it there as I could fill this post up with lots more halloween tutorials but you get the idea. Have you created any looks yourself over the years? What are you going to be for halloween this year?...let me know in the comments xo

The Halloween Tag For 2018

Hope your all having a fantastic Sunday. For today's post I wanted to do a Halloween tag. I see these every year floating around social media so thought I would give it a go myself. I decided to answer 10 questions all about the Halloween season. I like to do these on the blog as I find them quite fun to answer. Take a look at my answers and maybe answer some yourselves in the comments...xo

1. What's your first memory of halloween?

I remember halloween being all about "trick or treating". I remember going to the shops with my mum and trying to find the cutest pumpkin bowl or bag to use when we went out trick or treating. We didn't really get costumes when we were young and if you can remember the 90's it was a bin bag with holes in to put your head, arms and legs through, class right! Our face paint was a cheap face palette from the pound shop or something and it was the best ever haha. Then out we went knocking on doors for an hour or so in the cold lol but I suppose the best bit was all the sweets at the end lol

2. What's your favourite horror movie?

I am a huge fan of horror movies so I don't think I could choose just one favourite as I love quite a few. One thing I will say is I love classic horrors not all these remakes you get nowadays! I much prefer the original 1978 Halloween with Michael Myers over a lot of horror movies

3. Have you ever played with a Ouija board?

You would think because I am a huge horror fanatic you would think I have! To tell you the truth I haven't and don't intend too. You see them a lot in the movies where people take the risk of using one and then something bad happens. I don't think I've ever been interested in using one myself as I don't think I could handle the consequences. Yes I think that something like this could have an effect on the spirit world and to only use with caution...

4. Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

Yes. We used to play this as kids in school. Obviously not during class but on breaks. There were always horror stories or "myths" floating around school so yes I did try it out with friends. To tell you the truth nothing happened and probably nothing ever will. You were led to believe that calling out bloody mary's name three times in the dark would make her appear! We did have an urban legend in our old primary school where people used to say the ghost of one of the students would come out at night, it was because there was a really old gravestone in our school field and people used to say the spirit was connected to the school!

5. If you got trapped in one scary movie, which one would it be?

Now this is hard. As you guys know I love horror, gore anything else related to that genre. This one I'ver had to think really hard on and I think I would choose Nightmare On Elm Street! I just love Freddy Krueger's character and it would be amazing trying to fend him off, I mean another classic killer right!

6. If you were dared to spend the night in a haunted house, would you do it?

Now this is an easy question. My answer to this would be a big huge yes! I am interested by anything like that and would love to spend a night in somewhere that was haunted. I am fascinated by how there could be an "afterlife" or another world. It's just crazy to think how spirits can haunt somewhere they once lived/died or somewhere they had unfinished business with. You can tell I've watched too many horrors right?....

7. Would you ever go to a graveyard at night?

Yes I've walked through many graveyards at  night. The atmosphere doesn't spook me in the slightest. I think the best time to walk through graveyards are on ghost tours especially ones in cities with history. The last ghost tour I went on was in Edinburgh and we also went on underground tours too, to areas of how the city used to look like as well as old prison cells etc

8. How old were you when you saw your first scary movie?

Now this is a question I can answer without thinking about it for too long. As a kid maybe about 6 or 7 my mum sent me up to bed as it was a school night I think, not quite sure. All I remember was going up to bed and still being wide awake! I had my own little room as a kid, pretty much a box room with a single bed and one of those tv/video cassette combo's (if your old as me you know the ones I'm talking about!). I popped on the tv and it was on channel 5 I think. I remember channel 5 used to put movies on later on in the evening. When the channel came on it happened to be original exorcist movie! If you have seen it it was on the scene where Reagan was long gone and she was being possessed! Her head was turning right round and she was stabbing herself...from that moment on I was corrupted I think....lol

9. Vampires or Zombies? If you had to be one which would it be?

I would choose being a vampire! I have dressed up as a vampire a few times over the years. I just love their story, their creation and how they all began. Obviously by watching different movies you see different perspectives on vampires I think. In todays world there are even stories of people claiming to be real lie "vampires" it's just madness!..

10. Lastly, who is your favourite halloween movie director?

Now this is hard, just for the sake the question I'm going to go with John Carpenter because he directed the original Halloween movie and I can't help that being one of the best! John Carpenter also directed the movie 'Vampires" with one of my favourite actors in, James Woods! If you like a good vampire flick definitely check that one out..

Hope this is ok loves, I enjoy answering tag questions as it makes you think a little bit more and it's always better when its related to a holiday or season. It's almost halloween too....do you have your costume ready???....
